In all of its activities, CARIN seeks to connect and align with related government initiatives in areas including the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC), and others. CARIN is committed to working closely with government leaders to advance Consumer-Directed Exchange.
